Our Story & Vision

Just before the Spring of 2004, out of our hometown of Sonora California, a few strangers met along the mountain roads and trails that surrounded our once small town. A couple of us had become stuck in the snow, as luck would have it a group of trucks were coming up the other side of the road with the ability to pull us out. Seconds after we all met, Ed Larkins didn’t hesitate to lend a hand to free us from the terrains grab. After being freed, we visited with Ed and he told us about an off-road club he was excited to be starting up in the area. It didn’t take long after and our club had kicked off.

With that began the birth of Dirty Intentions, growing fast amongst our then small community. At first there were Five members, then 12 members, and ultimately growing to over thirty members; having come together to make Dirty Intentions. It didn’t matter if your rig had thousands of dollars put into it, if your rig was stock or didn’t have a rig at all and just wanted to experience the fun and social environment, you could become a member.

From off-roading on mountain trails, competing in mud bogs, or Truck and tractor pulls, memories were made that could never be forgotten. Dirty Intentions would run multiple charity events to raise funding for local non profits.

When club members Jason Wheat and Chris Brinkley moving to Phoenix Arizona, a new chapter of Dirty Intentions evolved. At this time Dirty intentions was active in two states and still growing strong. In 2005 Chris had moved back to Sonora where he tragically passed away. With such a devastating blow to the club, other members moving on in their lives and settling down, some moving out of state, some fighting for our nation over seas,  and another death of a member; Dirty Intentions Slowly Started to dissipate.

Now in 2025, ironically the original members, Ed Larkins, Jason Wheat, Will and Jacob Reed find themselves in the same corner of Northwest Montana. We will be relaunching Dirty Intentions at the Northwest Montana Fair in Kalispell Montana at the August 17th mud Bogs hosted by Eureka Dune Runners. We look forward to growing and making new lifetime memories that will expand in future generations.

Rest In Peace:
